We all recognize the need to help protect our environment and preserve our natural resources. Recycling, saving electricity, and decreasing our consumption of fossil fuel make obvious sense. The challenge for Tri-Plex is to guide our clients in understanding what this requires and create functional, compelling, and cost-effective packaging solutions. It is a challenge we are committed to and thrive on. Thus, EcoLogic was born and is the process Tri-Plex developed to approach the design of sustainable packaging.

Solution

We are proud to introduce two new eco-friendly concepts. The first is an ingenious low-cost disc package for one or two discs and optional booklet that can be used for a multitude of applications. The DB Slider is incredibly efficient to manufacture (fully automated) and one of the most retainable, durable, inexpensive, and completely recyclable disc packages.

The second, our DVD wallet, is the modular heart of an entire family of disc solutions that dramatically reduce the size and cost of packaging multiple disc sets. Offered in a variety of all-paperboard configurations, with both rigid and folding exterior slipcase options, the DVD wallet offers significant savings and high perceived value. The flexibility to package virtually any number of discs, the graphic display possibilities, the industry-tested approval for disc protection and integrity, and the variety of eco-friendly substrates we offer make this new product line a winner.

Result

Tri-Plex is one of approximately 150 members worldwide of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition. We are dedicated to pursuing the guidelines of sustainable packaging both in the concepts that we design and bring to our customers, and in the manufacturing processes and facilities we employ both domestically and offshore.
